Elder Kastendieck is now serving in a ward in Ottawa (not ours) but he was on splits this evening and so his companion told him they had a dinner appointment at Dave and Cindy's and then they arrived at our house. We had previously told the Elder to just come in because we would be hiding but when they arrived, Elijah was in the living room and Finley was naked in the kitchen (We didn't exactly coordinate the hiding as well as we'd have liked.) Elder Kastendieck said that when he saw Elijah he was like, "I know that kid, but why?" Anyway, then Steve and I jumped out and it was really fun. Elder Kastendieck seems to be doing really well and he looks great!
